The only national park in Slovenia, Triglav (named after the highest peak), is five kilometres away from your lodge and we encourage you to add a visit here to your agenda whilst in Bohinj.

Covering 840 square kilometers, and 26% of the whole Bohinj region, Triglav park has a lot to offer in terms of outdoor experiences for all kinds of travellers. Depending on your chosen travel season, you could go mushroom or herb picking, hiking, exploring the wildlife, or even mountain climbing. Skiing resorts are also located right in the park. Now let us point out the obvious - the nature preserved in the park is jaw-dropping, breath-taking, astounding or to put it simply, worth taking the trip.

Once in the park, you should take a walk in enchanting forests, marvel at the amazing gorges, waterfalls and the deep-carved valleys. Dip your toes in crystal clear waters that flow down the highest peak Triglav. Lastly, don't forget to lift your head up to spot the golden eagle flying high above you or the majestic red deer hiding behind the bush.
